Report Jordanië, Distant Heat II, Voyage into Wadi

So, here I stand. In the Middle of the Desert of Jordan. Almost 40 degrees Celsius. An amazing Red scenery of rocks, sand and…beautiful people form Jordan, Lebanon, Hungary, Holland, Belgium, Egypt and more.
People that came to an event that has taken place on the 29 of July.
Between 2100-0700…..This must be the place in the Middle East that will facilitate a special dance event!?

We arrived early in the evening, Jordan DJ John Dabeet, Joy and me.
I came a day earlier, and what I noticed the very friendly people of Jordan, well interested in almost every vain of my body. This must be the success of Jordan, the way that the people communicate and ..Celebrate! Distant Heat is an upcoming event, definitely. Jordan has now a small scene of 1200 party people in Amman, that number of party people on a scale of more then 5 mill. Citizens. What will that be in 4 years? My opinion, it will rise, this can be the new Burning Man of the Middle East. It is just a matter of time, planning, investing and pioneering.

At the time of half past 10 DJ Ferry Corsten, DJ Maron and the crew arrived, first reaction of Ferry and Maron, awesome location! This must become a smashing experience. So, John started his Progressive Trance set before Ferry, his set was well flavoured to get the people pre-hyped before the main act started. His enthusiasm and style really became part of this wonderful event. MTV was also on the location, made already shots of Jordan, and made a special of this event. It will be broadcasted on the program “Chunk” in the Benelux and Middle East. There was further press like Reuters, CNN etc. So, nothing was passed by to make it to a success.    Then, Ferry started. A real main act with a “Heat Wave” of lightning’s like a UFO landed on the Red Planet. A powerful set of 3 hours, and a 1000 people got hyped on the floor. What do I need to say more ! Ferry played of course a few of his new tracks lately. Then you feel that his tracks has international playground. Ferry = Ferry good and is again a DJ that deserves be in the Top 10 of DJ’s. 

After this massive set it was time for Maron, a real upcoming DJ and Producer who is working hard on his special events, residencies in Amsterdam (Insomnia, Xtralarge) and builds his playground further up.   He actually supported Julian Noursi, she is the eventmanager of Romero Events, and they worked well together to build it to the next professional level. She was the host of this event and made a wonderful concept with her crew. 

Maron was playing form 0300-0700, sunrise…First he was slowing down the tempo after the up-tempo set of Ferry, and build it slowly up to a more goa-trancy set with fabulous melodies. There were some small problems with the equipment, but nevertheless, after a half hour this man made a real sunrise-vibe.

It went on and on……until the sun came up and the scenery and the trip has finished the “Circle of Life”. This was a night that I will never forget. This must be the concept for the Middle east and further tourism.

I would like to thank all the people that felt the Distant Heat as a wave that we’ll never forget. We meet again in the kind and beautiful land called Jordan.
